Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
The service
AEBack provides project-file downgrade conversion for Premiere Pro and After Effects. The goal is to produce a new project file that is easier for older Adobe software to open. Everything is free during the open beta; if paid tiers are introduced later, we will announce that on the site in advance.
Not an Adobe service
This is an independently developed tool with no affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement from Adobe Inc. Adobe, Premiere Pro and After Effects are trademarks of Adobe Inc. Using this site does not change your licensing relationship with Adobe or any other software provider.
Your responsibilities
- You must have the right to process the project files you upload.
- Back up your original project before converting.
- You are responsible for verifying that the downgraded result meets your delivery requirements.
- Do not upload unlawful, infringing, malicious or unauthorised files.
- Confirm that the target software version, fonts, plugins and media paths meet your delivery needs.
Inherent limits of downgrading
Downgrading means removing or rewriting features the target version cannot represent. Content loss, missing effects, expression errors, offline media or required rework are inherent to the operation and do not constitute a defect in the service. The older the target, the more likely these trade-offs become.
Result verification
A completed conversion does not mean the project is ready for delivery. Open the result in the target version and check timelines, compositions, effects, expressions, fonts and media links before using it in production.
Availability and changes
We try to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or compatibility with every project file. We may suspend, limit or change the service for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, feature updates or legal reasons.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, data loss, project delays, business losses, client claims or failed deliveries arising from use of or inability to use the service.
Abuse
You may not use the site to attack, scan, bypass limits, upload malicious files, consume service resources at scale, or interfere with normal operation. We may block requests that appear abnormal or risky.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated version.
